Water Industry Award 2020

The Water Industry Award 2020 covers employers throughout Australia in the water industry and their employees in the classifications listed in Schedule A. The water industry is defined as activities related to harvesting (including by desalination), transportation, storage, treatment, and supply of water to various consumers, as well as handling waste water, stormwater, and sewerage. This award specifically excludes activities such as the construction of water industry facilities or infrastructure unless performed by an employer already within the water industry, and the installation and repair of water services within buildings that are not part of the defined water industry. Additionally, the award does not cover the Local Government Industry Award 2020, certain contractors covered by specific other awards, or senior executive roles not included in Schedule A.
